Jeffrey Schlupp climbed off the bench to score as 10-man Crystal Palace beat Bournemouth 1-0 at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night.

The Eagles’ defied the odds despite Mamadou Sakho’s 19th-minute red card and injury to Patrick van Aanholt.

Schlupp was introduced in the 29th minute as replacement for the Dutch man.

The Ghanaian international emerged the match-winner in the 76th minute, slotting home a powerful strike after a brilliant solo run from fringes of the Bournemouth half.

The 27 year old has now scored in consecutive Premier League games for the first time ever (142 apps, 10 goals).

Compatriot Jordan Ayew lasted the entire duration of the game.

The win takes Crystal Palace up to 5th on the Premier League table.
