Kwame Baah ( /10) – Another great game by the goalkeeper. Made some great saves on both halves to denied the Ivorians. Can’t be blame for the goal he conceded. Saved one of the four penalty shoot out.
Kingsley Fobi (6 /10)- Was very poor defensively. Contributed nothing on the attack. Withdrawn for Emmanuel Cudjoe in the second hal.
Edward Sarpong ( 6/10)- Not a good first half from him. Improved in the second half. Average performance from him.
Zakaria Fuseini( 6/10)- Looked very shaky at the back. His combination with Habib at the back wasn’t convincing at all. He could have done well to protects Ivory Coast second goal.
Habib Mohammed (6/10)- Won most of the aerial duels at the back. But looked suspect when ever the Ivorians are on the attack. Committed a lot of mistakes at the back.
Michael Agberpkornu (7/10)- Great game by the Dreams FC midfielder. He was relentless, controlled the tempo of the game when things seemed hard for his side.
Ruben Polley (3 /10)- Looked lost in the game. Didn’t make any impact in the game. Was surprisingly withdrawn after 25 minute.
Emmanuel Lomotey ( 7/10)- Another good performance from the Extremadura midfielder. Shielded the back four very well. Got tired in the second half as the young elephant dominated the game.
Samuel Obeng Gyabaa ( 6/10) –
Worked tirelessly on the wings. Provided the assist for Ghana’s first goal. Always a threat to the Ivorian defense. Capped off his performance with a great finish during the shootouts
Yaw Yeboah (c) ( 7/10) – Levelled the score for Ghana with a fine finish just after the break. Lost the ball too easily. Wasn’t at his best in the afternoon.
Evans Mensah (7 /10)- Wasn’t involved much in the game. Had to do more of the defending due to the dominance of the Ivorians. Grabbed Ghana’s equaliser late in the game to forced the game to extra time.
Kwabena Owusu ( 7/10) – Was introduced in the first half for the ineffective Polley. Worked tirelessly for the team. Assisted Evans Mensah for all the important equaliser. Missed his penalty with a poor kick.
Frank Yeboah ( 5/10)- Brought stability in the midfield after coming on for Yeboah. Won most of the one on one battle in the middle. Added fresh energy to the team.
Emmanuel Cudjoe ( 4/10)- Came in for Fobi as Tanko looked to tight the back. Looked very solid on the right side.
Nurudeen Abdul Aziz ( 3/10) – Late cameo. Didn’t make any impact in the game.
