Midfielder Evans Mensah drew positives from Ghana’s 1-1 draw against Cameroon in their opening Group A match on Friday evening.
A blistering free kick from Frank Evina on the 59th minute gave the Indomitable Lions the lead before the Black Meteors came from behind to grab a late equalizer through Habib Mohammed.
Mensah, who was named Man of the Match believes the best is still yet to come from Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side.
“We didn’t play well in the first half but the second was much better. It’s a positive result and we will try to do better in the coming games,” he said after the game.
The Black Meteors return to action against Egypt on Monday before facing Mali in the final match of the group stage.
