Chief Executive Officer of Databank Ghana, Kojo Addae-Mensah has called on management of Asante Kotoko to sack coach Kjetil Zachariassen following their CAF Confederations Cup exit on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors expectation of making it into the group stage of the competition was dashed after a 2-0 defeat to San Pedro in the play-off round second leg fixture in Abidjan.

With the first leg in Kumasi ending in a narrow 1-0 victory for Kotoko, San Pedro advanced to the money zone on a 2-1 aggregate score.

In the wake of yesterday’s loss, Kojo Addae-Mensah, who is a staunch Asante Kotoko fan questioned management’s decision to hire the Norwegian trainer and asked for his immediate dismissal.

“Asante Kotoko will go nowhere with this coach. We are just joking because he doesn’t even know the players. It was a bad decision to hire Kjetil Zachariassen” he said on Happy FM.

“What’s the idea behind sacking CK Akonnor to bring in Kjetil Zachariassen and bringing in an assistant coach in the middle of a competition.” He quizzed

“Kjetil Zachariassen should go immediately. Which player has he discovered? CK’s record is far better than his. The person who brought him [Kjetil Zachariassen] should pay the high price.”
