The management of Asante Kotoko have reportedly advised Kjetil Zachariassen not to return to Ghana with the team as they can’t guarantee his safety following another poor outing in Africa.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered elimination from CAF Confederations cup after falling 2-1 on aggregate to Ivorian opponent San Pedro on Sunday.
According to the agent of the Nowerigian trainer Charles Kouadio, the Executive chairman of the club informed him about the club’s inability to provide safety for the coach hence the decision not to return with the team to Ghana.
“It’s not true he is missing but rather Dr Kyei and Nana Coker told me I should tell him they can’t guarantee his safety looking at what has happened and what the supporters did”
Kjetil Zachariassen was appointed as the head coach of the club three months ago following the sacking of C K Akonnor.
