Ghana‘s U23 side thrashed second division outfit Star Makers FC 5-0 in a preparatory friendly at El-Wak Stadium on Wednesday morning.

Midfielder Abdul A Nurudeen was the star of the show against his former club as the Black Meteors cruised to a convincing win.

Nurudeen opened the floodgates before Emmanuel Kudjoe, Hamzah Nasiru, Frank Akoto and Peter Adiwoh all registered their names on the scoresheet.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko is expected to continue to fine tune his squad ahead of next month’s Africa U23 Championship in Egypt.

Ghana have been drawn with hosts Egypt, Mali and Cameroon in group A.
