Asante Kotoko face an uphill task on Sunday when they come face to face against Tunisian giant Etoile Du Sahel in the second leg of the CAF champions league.
The Porcupines won the first leg game by 2-0 in Kumasi two weeks ago, they will be looking to use their first leg advantage to eliminate the Tunisians in the competition.
Things have changed for Etoile Du Sahel since the first leg, the coach who led the team to Kumasi in the first leg Faouzi Benzharti has since been sacked and his assistant Rafik Mhambi has been appointed to as the new head coach.
The game will played at the Monastir instead of their favourite Sousse Stadium.
But they will be relying much on their home advantage to overturn the 2-0 deficit.
Is been 13 years since the Porcupine Warriors made it to the group stages of the CAF Champions League. The players know it’s now or never to break that duck after taking a comfortable lead in the first leg.
“We are going there to play our normal game. We know we have a two goal lead but we are not thinking about that. We will approach the game as if it is the first leg” Asante Kotoko coach Kjetil Zachariassen on the game on Sunday.
Asante Kotoko must redouble their efforts in order to seal their qualification to the group stage of the competition.
The winner of the game qualifies to the group stages of the CAF Champions League, whilst the loser will drop to playoffs of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Etoile Du Sahel have an impressive home record, losing just one of their last 10 matches in the CAF Competition.
The Tunisian are in a poor run of form, winning just one of their last five competitive fixtures (W1 D1 L3).
The Tunisian suffered their first defeat against Kotoko in the first leg after going unbeaten in their previous four meetings, winning two (2) and drawing the other two (2).
Etoile du Sahel have failed to score a goal in their last three competitive matches.

Asante Kotoko are winless in their last four trip in the CAF Club competition losing all four on the road.

Etoile Du Sahel will be without shot-stopper Walid Kreidan who underwent an abdominal muscle surgery in July and has not fully recovered from it.
Apart from him, everyone is available for selection.
For Kotoko, Ismael Abdul Ganiyu, Maxwell Baakoh and Richard Senanu will miss the game due to their respective injuries.
Apart from the surprise ommison of Songne Yacouba and Augustine Sefah, the rest of the players are available for selection on Sunday.
