Ghanaian Players Abroad Best XI for WK5 – Wakaso, Tetteh maintain consistency, Twumasi continues scoring as Kizito breaks through

Midfielders Mubarak Wakaso of Desportivo Alaves and Aziz Tetteh of Gazisehir Gaziantep maintained their consistency in our team of the week following remarkable outings to their sides as the European leagues hit week five.

Wakaso remains the only player to have been in our team of the week for all the five weeks so far.

Patrick Twumasi continued his scoring form for Gazisehir Gaziantep powering them to another victory while Kwame Kizito weaved his way into the team of the week with a stupendous finish for BK Hacken.

In a 3-5-2 system, Richard Ofori found his way back into the Best XI for Week 5 for Ghanaian players abroad.

Richard Ofori (GK) – Maritzburg United: The Black Stars goalkeeper was in between the sticks when Maritzburg United lost 2-1 to giants Mamelodi Sundowns.

Enock Kwateng – Bordeaux: The Ghanaian born defender played full throttle for Bordeaux in their pulsating 2-2 draw with Brest. He was impressive.

Kasim Adam – Fortuna Düsseldorf: The Ghanaian defender scored on his first start for Fortuna Dusseldorf as they lost 2-1 to Mochengladbach at the Borussia Park.

Salisu Mohammed – Real Valladolid: The youngster saw full time action for Real Valladolid as they lost to Villarreal. He played well.

Mubarak Wakaso – Desportivo Alaves: Wakaso lasted the full duration of the game as his Deportivo Alaves slipped to a 2-0 defeat away to Athletic Bilbao.

Bernard Mensah – Kayserispor: The Black Stars midfielder played the entire duration for Kayesrispor in their 1-1 draw with Isaac Sackey’s Denzilispor.

Patrick Twumasi – Gazisehir Gaziantep: Twumasi scored in his third consecutive game for Gazisehir Gaziantep BB in their 2-1 win at Rizespor.

Abdul Aziz Tetteh – Gazisehir Gaziantep: The combative midfielder continued his impressive display for his side and remains the only Ghanaian player in the team to have started all games this season for the side.

Kwadwo Asamoah – Inter Milan: The playmaker lasted the entire duration for Inter Milan as they beat rival AC Milan 2-0 in the Derby della Madonnina. He was very productive for his side as they secured the vital victory.

Alfred Duncan – Sassuolo: The midfielder was on target for Sassuolo in their 3-0 home win against SPAL.

Kwame Kizito – BK Hacken: was on target for BK Hacken in their 1-1 draw with Kalmar. He lasted for 87 minutes of the game.
