St Gallen wanted to sign me permanently – Majeed Ashimeru reveals

Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has revealed St Gallen did everything possible to make his loan deal permanent after impressing the club during his spell.

According to the former WAFA midfielder, he wanted to stay at the Swiss Club at first but later took the challenge to go back to Red Bull Salzburg to continue from where he left off.

“They wanted me to stay. They wanted me so badly. They did everything possible to make be comeback. The knew I was good and they wanted me to come back”

“But Red Bull Salzburg knew how good I have become and wanted me back” he told footballmadeinghana.com.

The midfielder is set to make his first Champions League appearance when Red Bull Salzburg host Genk in their group opener on Tuesday evening .

Majeed has scored one goal in three games for Red Bull Salzburg in the current season.
