Disappointed Yussif Mubarik vows to fight his way back into CHAN team

Ashanti Gold Sporting Club center back Yussif Mubarik has expressed his disappoitment after Coach Maxwell Konadu dropped him from the Black Stars B squad.

Mubarik was part of the sixteen players from the Black Stars ‘B’ squad who were dropped by Coach Maxwell Konadu as they prepare to face Burkina Faso on Sunday.

Speaking to Kumasi based OTEC FM, the Aggressive defender said the news came to him as a surprise.

“I was off for the whole night (Saturday’s night) and wasn’t in the mood when I heard my name has been dropped from the Black Stars ‘B’ squad.

“It was a surprise to me, I knew I will be part of the team because being part of the national team boosts your confidence as a player. Since there is a big tournament ahead of us, I will work harder to be part of the CHAN 2020 squad in January” He added”.

The Black Stars B are set to lock horns with the Stallions of Burkina Faso at the Kumasi Baba Yara stadium in the first leg of 2020 CHAN qualifier.
