Black Meteors defender Kingsley Fobi has praised the team for their effort in the 1-0 victory over Algeria on Tuesday.
Captain Yaw Yeboah, who missed a penalty in the first leg, scored a beautiful solo goal in the 70th minute to turn the the tie in Ghana’s favor.
The win means Ghana have qualified for the U23 AFCON to be staged in Egypt on a 2-1 aggregate after the first leg ended 1-1 in Accra on Friday.
Fobi, who lasted the entire duration couldn’t hide his excitement on social media after the match;
“There’s nothing we can say apart from thank you lord 🙏🏾. We are grateful 🙏🏾. Great effort from everyone today from bench, starting eleven, coaches and all the physios. Well done everyone 🇬🇭👏🏾. #olympics we are coming 🇬🇭!” He tweeted
