The rained-off 2019 President Cup clash between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak has been postponed indefinitely after both clubs agreed to find a suitable date for the clash.
A heavy downpour that preceded the clash between giants forced the game to be called off after just 8 minutes at the Bank Yara Sports Stadium.
Earlier reports were that the game will be replayed on Monday at 15:00GMT at the same venue.
But FootballMadeInGhana.com gathers that the game will be played at a later date and not the earlier date announced.
The soggy state of the pitch forced the referee to rain-off the game despite given a go-ahead earlier for kickoff.
The nature of the pitch stopped the flow of the game as the ball could hardly travel without being stopped by the stagnant water on the pitch.
The game was, therefore, scheduled to be replayed on Monday at 15:00 GMT at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium but following Asante Kotoko’s CAF Champions League clash set for this weekend, the organisers have postponed the game indefinitely.
