C.K Akunnor join race for Guinea coaching job

Former Asante Kotoko gaffer C.K Akunnor has been shortlisted among top class coaches to be interviewed for the vacant Syli Nationale team head coach footballmadeinghana.com can confirm.

The position has remained vacant following the dismissal of former trainer Paul Put after their abysmal performance at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt exiting at the group stages of the tournament

Akunnor has had stints in the Ghana Premier League with Dreams FC guiding them from division one to top-flight league of Ghana football.

He’s also had stints with Accra Hearts of Oak and Sekondi Eleven Wise.

Akunnor guided AshGold from a relegation threatened position to 4th in the Ghana Premier League in his first season and guided them to joint table toppers with Medeama before parting way with the Miners.

He has been jobless and could land himself a job should he successfully navigate through the interview process with the Guinea Football Federation.

Among the list is Claudio Raneiri, Florent Ibenge, Paulo Duarte, Georges Leekens, Antoine Hey, Raoul Savoy among others.
