Normalization Committee set to announce road map for GFA elections on Tuesday

The roadmap for the elections of the Ghana Football Association is set to be announced by the Normalization Committee on Tuesday, footballmadeinghana.com understands.

Following the Extraordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association on Thursday, September 5, 2019, FIFA is expected to give the go-ahead to the NC to roll out the modalities for the Association’s elections.

The President of the Normalization Committee Dr. Kofi Amoah after the Extraordinary Congress on Thursday in an interview disclosed that the road map for the elections will be announced ‘soon.’

Footballmadeinghana.com investigations have revealed that the Normalization Committee will not exceed Tuesday with the announcement of the modalities and the roadmap for the GFA elections.

FIFA Representative Luka Nicoli who was at the Extraordinary Congress had warned congressmen that had they failed to adopt the statutes of the NC, the Elective Congress would have run into an indefinite date.

So with the amendment, acceptance and adoption of the statutes, the die is cast for the Exlective Congress of the FA to take place soon, which will be preceded by the announcement of the road map by the NC.

With Tuesday set to be the day for the announcement of the road map, the battle for leadership in Ghana football is set to hit a crescendo.

Already, Nana Yaw Amponsah, George Afriyie, Fred Pappoe, Wilfred Osei Kwaku and Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku have declared their intentions to contest for the vacnt GFA Presidential seat.
