Deputy Operation’s manager for Asante Kotoko Nana Kwame Dankwah has insisted there is no rift between the head coach of the Club Kjetil Zachariassen and the Management after the former fielded Samed Ibrahim in the B K Edusei Cup against Ashanti Gold.
Samed was said to have not completed his transfer process but the former Ashantigold coach declined and fixed I’m the game against Ashantigold.
Speaking to Kumasi based Kumasi FM, the management member admitted the issue was discussed at the management meeting but insisted there is nothing like a problem between the coach and the club.
Nana Kwame also revealed management had told the head coach to concentrate more on the registered players before the game against the Miners.
“There’s no truth in stories circulating in the media Asante Kotoko management has had problems with Zachariason after the BK Edusei cup match with Ashgold.
“However it came up in our meeting with the coach after the game that his concentration must go on the registered players for the African campaign. He gave reasons as to why he used some of the unregistered players.
“I wouldnt want to disclose the reason as to why the coach fielded the unregistered players but it is the timing that was wrong”. He added.
Asante Kotoko over the weekend succumbed to Ashanti Gold in the B.K Edusei friendly by 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw.
