CAFCC Player ratings: AshantiGold 3-0 Akonangui FC – Shafiu Mumuni’s brilliance takes Miners to the next round

Ashantigold defeated Akonangui FC by 3 -0 to qualify to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

A first half hat trick by Shafiu Mumuni was enough to  secure the qualification for the Miners.

Frank Boateng (7 /10)- Made numerous saves in the game to denied Akonangui from getting a consolation. Was always on alert. Deserved his clean sheet.

Kwadwo Amoako( 8/10) – proved why Ashantigold hijacked him from Asante Kotoko. Assisted Shafiu Mumuni’s for his third goal. Was a thorn in the flesh for the Akonangui defense. His surging runs on the right side was always a threat to the opponent.

Eric Donkor (7 /10) – Massive performance by the former Kotoko player Eric Donkor, got almost all his crosses right . Was defensively OK.

Eric Osei Agyemang( 7/10) – Another great performance by the former Kotoko defender, was a bit sluggish at times. In all he made sure his side finished the game with a clean sheet.

Yusif Mubarik ( 8/10) – Great game by the center back. Didn’t put a wrong foot in the game. His awareness and timely clearance were point. Covered a lot for his partner Richard Osei Agyemang.

James Akaminko (7 /10) – Another great performance by the midfielder. Provided the shield for the back. Made many intervention and timely talckles to save his team from danger.

Abdul Latif Anabila (7 /10)- Great game by the former Wa all-stars player. stablized the midfield with some wonderful interventiona and short passes.

Amos Addai (8 /10)- Great game by the winger, dazzled the defense of the visitors on so many occasions. Need to work on his final delievary. He had a great game in all.

Mark Agyakum (7/10) – He will be dissapointed for failing to get his name on the score sheet. Worked tirelessly for the team through out his stay in the pitch. Brought off for Amos Nkrumah in the second half.

Marco Silver (8 /10) – What a way to mark his home debut, the Brazilian attacker was ever present in the game. A great save by Mosibe denied him his first goal for the club. Withdrawn for Appiah McCarthy in the 70th minute.

Shafiu Mumuni (10 /10) – Masterclass performances by the striker. Hat trick in the space of 10minute, he could have gotten two more if not the performance of Mobise. What a game he has had. His third goal was a mark of excellent struene

Substitute

Amos Nkrumah ( 5/10) – Had a golden chance in the second half but lack of communication between him and Shafiu let him down.

Appiah McCarthy ( 5/10) – Added a fresh energy after coming in the game. Stabilized and controlled the midfield for his side. Nearly scored from the center circle but was denied by the Mosibe

Emmanuel Owusu ( 4/10) – Was introduced late in the game, didn’t make any impact in the game.
