Injured Asante Kotoko defender Ismail Abdul Ganiyu has revealed that his knee injury is more severe than that suffered by his teammate Richard Senanu.

The former Wa All-stars defender suffered a cruciate ligaments injury during a training match at the club training ground three weeks ago.

Ganiyu revealed to fox FM Sports on Monday that he feels too much pains on the affected knee making his walk very difficult.

“Mine is different but mine is more severe than that of Senanu, that is what the doctors are saying.

“I feel too much pains in my knee, I can’t even walk fast, if I will walk unless slow, slow, slow else I can’t walk. I spoke with the (Kotoko team) doctors and they said they will get back to me so I’m waiting for them”, Ganiu stressed.

” When I got injured they gave me some pain killers for five days, after the five days I’m not under drugs any more “, he revealed.

The former Karela United defender will miss the  second leg of Asante Kotoko’s CAF Champions League game against Kano Pillars after sitting out in the first leg.
