Newly signed Gor Mahia striker Francis Afriyie has set his sights on earning a call up to the senior National team Black Stars.
The former Bechem United striker who joined the Kenyan Premier league club in the transfer window has also vowed to score less than 20 goals for his new club.
Speaking to Happy FM Sports, the striker who penned a year deal with the Kenyan league champions compared his hunger for goals to Barcelona attacker Luis Suarez, he also revealed he look up to the Uruguayan striker as his role model because of his seriousness in matches.
“I have taken my training programme a notch height. I want to score as many goals as possible. The national team is there for players who go the extra mile and I have decided to do exactly that.
“I look up to Luis Suarez as my role model because of his exceptional hunger for goals and seriousness in matches. I am indeed ready for Black Stars next invitation because I’m investing in training”
Afriyie also lauded the management of Gor Mahia for how they unveiled him after completing his move.
“I’m very happy to be unveiled. I have played for several clubs both in Ghana and abroad. But I have never seen this kind of unveiling.
