Cheif Executive Officer for Asante Kotoko George Amoako has expressed his satisfaction with the results after his side 3-2 defeat to Kano Pillars in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
Despite coming from a goal down to lead in the second half, the Porcupine Warriors conceded two late goals in the second half and left Nigeria with nothing.
Speaking to Oyerepa FM after his side defeat, George Amoako disclosed he wasn’t surprised with the results. He is also insisted 3-2 defeat in the first leg is a very good scoreline.
“The game went as I expected it to be because Kano Pillars have been very strong at home over the recent years.
“But I will look at my team Asante Kotoko, we are putting things in place and taking it game after game.
“Loosing 3 – 2 away at Kano is a very good scoreline and we sure of overturning the scoreline in Kumasi”
The second leg has been scheduled to come off on August 25 in Kumasi.
