Ashanti Gold welcome Karela United at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in what will be a fiercely contested semi final encounter in the NC Special Competition.
This is the second time these two team are meeting, Ashanti Gold came on top (1-0) in the only previous encounter which was in the truncated league.
Ashanti Gold are still competing in both the Tier One and Two competitions while Karela United’s only chance to win a silverware depends on Sunday’s game.
Ashanti Gold finished on top of Zone A whilst Karela United were the runners up in the Zone B.
The Miners are in a good run of form going to the game, haven’t gone six games without a defeat in all competition.
They have won their last six games in all competitions 3 in the Tier One and the other 3 in the Tier Two league.

Amos Nkrumah featured on loan for Karela United in the truncated league but has since return to his parent club and is one of the key men for Kjetil Zachariassen side.

Karela United have won only one game away from home and all their three defeats in the competition came away from home.
Coach Johnson Smith will be relying heavily on the attacking pair of Solomon Sarfo Taylor and Diawisie Taylor – the pair have scored (14) goals between themselves in the competition.
It will be a home coming for ex-Ashanti Gold players Alhaji Sani, Emmanuel Osei Baffour and Nuredeen Abdullai who will be looking to shock their former employers.

Frank Boateng is expected to maintain his spot as the number one despite the return of Robert Dabuo.
Yussif Mubarak is likely to partner Samed Ibrahim after starting in the last 6 games.
