Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward Abdul Fatawu Safiu has commended Mohammed Polo for honing his dead-ball kicks.
Fatawu revealed that the Ghana legend was very hard on him during his stint at the “Polo Academy” and always forced him to practice how to effect free kicks.
“I will praise Coach Polo for helping me to be a good free kick taker. He was very hard on me, each day after training, he will give me balls and guide me on how to score free kicks.” Fatawu told footballmadeinghana.com
“I started my career at the Polo Academy at Kaneshie, it was him who scouted me from Techiman.”
The nimble footed attacker scored a superb free kick against Nkana FC in the CAF Confederations Cup campaign and in the domestic front, he has netted three of them in the ongoing NC Special Competition.
He is expected to play a key role on Sunday when Kotoko play as guest to Hearts of Oak in the NC Competition semi finals.
