The Uganda FA and Fabian Samuel Kwasi have agreed by mutually terminate their contract after the coach expressed interest to leave the East African country.
The coach who was appointed as the Head Coach of the National Under-17 Football Team – Uganda CUBS and the National Under-20 Football Team – Uganda HIPPOS has since left for Ghana after just two months in charge.
Paa Kwasi Fabin led the Uganda CUBS -Under-17 National Football Team to the AFCON in Tanzania.
But failed to qualify the team to the knockout stage after wininng one, drawing one and losing one in three games.
In a statement by the Uganda Football Association, they revealed that Paa Kwesi Fabin called for the termination.
‘FUFA is happy with the work done by Mr. Kwasi in the period he has been in Uganda.
“However a request by the coach to go and handle family matters back home thus not able to continue with the job, saw the Executive consented to his request,” the statement noted.
His departure will come as a shock for many after he was tipped to achieve greatness with the Ugandan youth team.
