A new breeze appears to be blowing as Young Apostles moved to the top of the Zone 1 (B) after a 3-1 win whipping of Nsoatreman FC in the ongoing NC Special Competition on Sunday.

Samuel Norgbe grabbed a brace after Richard Mahama had opened the scoring for the home side with Nureen Cato Iddrisu grabbing a consolation for the visitors.

The win takes the ambitious second-tier side top of the zone on 22 points, a point above second-placed Nkoranza Warriors.

It’s been a superb performance from Young Apostles – side that is very young in the DOL, with their first season truncatyed by the Anas Exposé,

Following some cash injection by new Executive Chairman Sammy Anim Addo and his team of investors, Young Apostles have taken a huge leap leaving traditional powerhouses BA United and Bofoakwa Tano to play catch-ups.

They lost their only match of the campaign so far to Bofoakwa Tano.
