Hearts of Oak brushed aside WAFA with ease on Sunday in the Normalisation Committee Special Tournament weel eight clash at the Accra sports Stadium.
The Phobians put up a superb performance as they outplayed and saw off the Academy boys by four goals to nothing.
The Phobians started the game brightly and piled pressure on WAFA who failed to find their rhythm. Hearts of Oak pegged the Academy boys in their own half as they barely had a touch of the ball.
Midfielder Michel Sarpong broke the deadlock in the 29th minute with a fantastic finish as WAFA continued to get their acts together.
Hearts of Oak maintained their momentum and netted their second goal in the the stroke of halftime through skipper Fatawu Mohammed who had an excellent game.
The Phobians ended the first half on a 2-0 lead.
After recess, WAFA came into the game strongly looking for a goal but it was short lived as Umar Manaf audaciously lobbed a ball from outside the penalty box into the net for Hearts third goal in the 65th minute.
Striker Kofi Kordzi completed the demolishing exercise with Hearts of Oak’s fourth goal later on in the game.
With defeat staring in their faces, WAFA came all out but the Phobians held their might at the back until the referee blew his whistle for the end of the game.
