NC Special Competition: Fired-up Sharks look to stop Karela juggernaut in Aiyinase

Karela United face another stern test against Elmina Sharks in matchday 9 of the Special Competition at Cosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday.

The Green and Reds are the bookmakers favorites because of their impressive home record.

They are unbeaten in all their home matches played in the competition.

Despite losing their grip on top spot last week, the Nzema-based side will look to build on their second half performance against Liberty that saw them come back from three goals down to draw 3-3 at the Karl Reindolf Park.

Red hot Karela forward Diawisie Taylor is yet to score for his side at home but has already hit 5 goals on the road.

Meanwhile, Elmina Sharks travel to Aiyinase as the only undefeated team in the ongoing Competition with three wins and five draws.

They also boast of the most stubborn defense in the division having kept an amazing 7 clean sheets in 8 games.

The Sea Animals come into the match full of confidence after ripping Dreams FC into shreds at the Ndoum Park on Matchday eight.

Sharks are placed third on the league log with 14 points.
