Policy analyst of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Dr Amo Sarpong has reacted for the first time after the horrific incident at Berekum Golden City Park.
Sarpong was attacked by irate Berekum Chelsea fans prior to kick off of their match day eight of the Special Competition on Sunday.
According to several reports, the hot-tempered administrator fired warning shots in the heat of confusion between the two clubs which led the fans to retaliate by descending on him.
Sarpong who is reportedly responding well to treatment at the hospital took to his twitter page to confirm his current status and call on government to take action on what he describes as ‘dangerous Golden City Park’.
”Thank God for showing me mercy and granting me favour today… The Golden City Park of Berekum is a very dangerous grounds for any football loving fun… I call on the Government to do something about this hell of a venue before the worst happens”
