Tamale City FC rediscovered their scoring form to record their third win in the ongoing Special Competition after convincingly edging past laud mouth Techiman City in the battle of the Cities in Zone 1.

After dropping points in their game against city rivals, RTU last week, the Citizens needed to restore hope of finishing top in their group staging return to winning ways on Saturday.

Goals from Kwajo Poku and captain Mohammed Nurudeen condemned the visitors to a 2-0 defeat as they showed massive form to be Zone 1A title contenders.

After wins over Gbewaa FC, Kintampo FC and now Techiman City, the Tamale based Division One side moves level on point with Wa Suntaa FC after dropping points against Steadfast (4-0) and Real Tamale Utd (1-1) and Wa Suntaa FC (1-1).

The Citizens will look forward to wrapping the first round in fantastic style as they trek to Paga to engage the Crocodiles in the last matches of the first round of the ongoing Normalization Committee Special Competition.
