An ecstatic Proud United fan Nasiru Ayivi Aboney has heaped praises on the Executive Chairman of Dreams FC Kurt Okraku for nurturing Winfred Dormon into a magnificent coach now steering the affairs of the Division One side.
After five matches in the NC Special Competition in the Tier 2 League, Proud United have managed a flawless start to the competition with a 100% win record, sitting at the summit of the Zone 2B table.
Coached by Winfred Dormon, a former Dreams FC player who rose to the position of a deputy coach, Ayivi believes Kurt Okraku is the brain behind the amazing technical and tactical prowess of the young coach.
Following their 1-0 win over Sekondi Hasaacas, Ayivi wrote: “Thanks to Kurt Okraku, Proud United is playing something I call Dormon Soccer. Fantastic display.”
While drawing the curtain on his playing career, Winfred Dormon was swiftly ushered into coaching by Kurt Okraku who believed there was still a lot in the young chap.
Dormon started his coaching career as an assistant at Dreams FC and was once in charge of their Division Two side Still Believe FC.
He was released at the beginning of the season to Proud United as a stop gap coach for the NC Special Competition.
Dormon spent 6 years as an assistant coach at Dreams FC and worked under Coach Wellington, C.K. Akonnor and Karim Zito.
Kurt Okraku is also credited with the rejuvenation of former King Faisal and Hearts of Oak striker Eric Gawu as well as several disappointed footballers he has transformed into cameramen and writers.
