The U17 side of Bechem United exploded again on Tuesday as they took down Solar South in a thrilling 4 goal encounter to top the group as at match day 2 of the 2019 Dallas Cup at the MoneyGram Soccer Park.
Playing against the wind in the first half, Isaac Soglo opened the scoring hitting the ball to the upper right corner leaving the goalkeeper in sixes and sevens.
Victor Asante got the second goal through a duo effort with Avayevu from the center line to send the Hunters to the break in confidence.
The second half was even more thrilling as Michael Ankomah Bempong chanced on a perfect cross from Hope Avayevu and gave it a clinical finish to make the tally three. In the dieing embers of the games a superb Tijani Salia cross saw Isaac Anane slot home down in the right corner.
Nana Kwasi Darlyn assist coach, in a reaction after the win said nine goals in two games is a good achievement but those games are over and done with. He charged his boys to stay focused ahead of their final group game.
In an interview, Michael Ankomah Bempong a forward said ” it was a good game better than our last match. We hope to reach higher heights in the Dallas Cup.
Adu Peprah Joseph, the goalkeeper, said this is one of the biggest opportunities for the team so I will do my best to continue to keep a clean sheet as the the tournament progresses.
The other group game between Golden State and TSF ended goalless. The result means Bechem need a draw or win to get through, in their final hurdle against Golden State who desperately need a win to qualify.
