A goal in each half from Fusseini Ganiu and Kwadwo Afriyie helped Eleven Wonders to beat regional rivals Berekum Chelsea to register their first win in the Normalization Committee Special Competition.
Despite being under pressure before the start of the game, Eleven Wonders dominated proceedings and looked to draw the first blood in the early stages of the game, but the resolute Chelsea defense were up to the task.
Their persistence paid off in the 36th minutes as Fusseini Ganiu gave them the lead with a calm finish.
Despite creating a lot of chances none of the sides was able to get to the back of the net again before the break.
There wasn’t much action in the second half with majority of the play in the middle of the pitch as both sides struggled to create decent chances.
Eleven Wonders doubled their lead in the 80th minute as Kwadwo Afriyie converted a spot kick to leave the score line 2-0 at full time.
