Ghana and Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has paid for the surgery of Real Upper Ladies striker Afisatu Abubabakar who broke her collar bone on Saturday during the commencement of the Women Special Competition.
Badu’s donation follows an appeal by the coach of Real Upper Ladies for support to enable the 19 year old striker to undergo a successful operation after breaking her clavicle.
Afisatu fell heavily and broke her clavicle/collar bone on Saturday and was rushed to the Wa Regional Hospital where she was admitted.
She was later transferred to the St. Theresa Hospital at Nandon where she will be undergoing the surgery.
The philanthropic Ghana midfielder has paid the total cost of the surgery which is expected to start on Thursday morning.
Agyemang Badu is known for his humanitarian activities as he swiftly responds to challenges of many needy people especially within the football industry.
It will be recalled that the Udinese midfielder donated some cash to former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Ali Jarrah.
