USL side Phoenix Rising Stars have part ways with Ghanaian international Gladson Awako through mutual consensus.
Awako joined the American second-tier side in 2017 and has gone on to make 37 appearances scoring twice and providing seven assists.
The former Ghana Under 20 midfielder’s initial contract was due to expire in November this year but he now has to find new employers as both parties agreed to terminate the deal.
No reason was given for the cancellation of the contract but footballmadeinghana.com understands that new coach Rick Shantz told Awako he was not in his plans for the season.
He has previously featured for Ghanaian side Berekum Chelsea and Congolese powerhouse TP Mazembe.
