Clubs’ spokesperson blasts Normalization Committee for inciting public against clubs

Spokesperson for the Premier League clubs Alagidede Eric has descended heavily on the Ghana FA Normalization Committee following their aggressive and contentious statement for calling off the Special Competition.

The NC in their statement described the Ghana Premier League clubs as greedy and selfish, apologizing to Division One League clubs for the cancellation.

The belligerent and combative posture and tone of the statement has been condemned by the Spokesperson of the clubs who insists the NC is only inciting the public against the clubs.

“The Normalization committee is not fit for purpose. They just want to incite the public against the Premier League clubs,” says Alagidede.

“We asked them for the financial breakdown of the competition three weeks ago but they didn’t mind us but they want us to sign up for the competition.”

Alagidede added that the choice of words used in the Committee’s press release was boisterous.

“The tone of the letter was arrogant but we don’t want to go the same lane they are going.”

“They don’t know that they are the mother body so they can’t be using such words. That letter was insulting and it’s sad that they’re not aware,” he added.

The NC has promised normalizing Ghana football with the interest of Government calling the bluff of the clubs, despite the clear knowledge that governmental control of football is strongly against FIFA regulations.
