Premier League clubs boycott GFA Special Competition over ‘unacceptable’ terms

The sixteen (16) clubs in the Premier League have resolved to boycott the upcoming Special Competition by the Ghana FA in protest of terms they consider to be ‘unacceptable’, FootballMadeinGhana.com can exclusively reveal. Kotoko abandon plans to use chairman’s commercial flight for Cameroon trip

Asante Kotoko have been forced to abandon plans to use the commercial aircraft of their Chairman for their trip to Cameroon to play Cotton Sport in the Confederation Cup this weekend. This was due to the aircraft’s inability to secure the requisite clearance to fly outside the shore of Ghana. GFA introduces penalty shootout contest in Special Competition

The Ghana FA have revealed a feature of the upcoming Special Competition to have teams engage each other in penalty shootouts where games end in a draw. This according to President of the Normalisation Committee Dr. Kofi Amoah, is to help improve the art of penalty taking amongst players. Ghana FA begins inspection of venues for Special Competition today

The Ghana FA will commence inspection of venues for its upcoming Special Competition from Wednesday. This was announced and later followed up in an email circular to all clubs following the GFA’s meeting with club representatives on Tuesday. The club Licensing Manager of the Ghana FA Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi will be in charge of the inspection of the venues.
