Genk central defender Joseph Aidoo has been named in the official Europa League “breakthrough” team of the year for 2018.
The former Inter Allies defender has been a pillar at the back of the Belgian side in the Europa League this season featuring in four Group Stages games and scoring one goal.
He has been a key figure in the Genk defence and has twice made the Europa League team of the week list by UEFA.
In their official Europa League “breakthrough” team of the year (2018), the 23-year-old libero is paired in the heart of a three-man defence in a 3:3:3:1 formation.
He moved to Genk from Swedish side Hamarby in the summer of 2017.
