Technical Director of Inter Allies Willie Klutse says exhaustion was the reason behind their thumping by Asante Kotoko.
The One is to All lads were crashed 3-0 by Kotoko in a friendly played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
The friendly forms part of Kotoko’s preparations towards their CAF Confederation Cup match likely to be against Kenyan club Kariobangi Sharks.
Inter Allies have always been considered a worthy opponent to give Kotoko a good run but the results suggests otherwise.
But the club’s technical director Willie Klutse explains his players were exhausted due to a heavy week schedule.
“We played well only that my players were tired and this showed in the result,” he told Asempa FM.
“We have been engaged in a scouting exercise since Sunday and this was telling on our players.
“If you look at the time we conceded the goals, it tells you clearly that it’s out of exhaustion.”
Kotoko will engage the Ghana U23 team in another friendly on Sunday before traveling for their match in the Confederation Cup.
