The Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Mike Ocquaye has donated GHc 50,000 to the Black Queens ahead of their campaign in the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations. This donation was made after the Ghanaian team paid a courtesy call on the leadership of Parliament on Friday. Manchester City sign talented Darko Gyabi

  Manchester City have signed budding English-born Ghanaian teenager Darko Gyabi from Millwall. According to English Tabloid the Sun, Wolves and Arsenal were also interested in signing the 14-year-old midfielder but he chose City as he is impressed with their all-round attacking game. The English champions are paying an initial £300,000 as signing on fee but it could rise up to £1 million if certain adds-on are triggered. Ethiopia referee Lidya Tafesse has been appointed the center referee for Ghana’s opening game at the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournament against Algeria on Saturday.
