Ghana defender Baba Rahman was not part of the Schalke squad that traveled to Turkey for their Champions League clash against Galatasaray on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old remains frozen out despite regaining full fitness from a career-threatening injury.
Under-pressure manager Domenico Tedesco has not played Baba since featuring in 2-0 home defeat to Hertha Berlin in September.
The on-loan Chelsea defender seemed to have regained his starting position during Schalke’s pre-season games where he featured prominently.
But Tedesco once more again decided against taking the left-back along for their Champions League clash.
Schalke are currently second in their Champions League group having won one and drawn one going into matchday 3.
Below is the Schalke squad:
Goalkeepers: Alexander Nübel, Yannic Lenze
Defense: Hamza Mendyl, Matija Nastasic, Benjamin Stambouli, Salif Sané
Midfield: Weston McKennie, Omar Mascarell, Suat Serdar, Nabil Bentaleb, Yevhen Konoplyanka, Sebastian Rudy, Daniel Caligiuri, Amine Harit, Alessandro Schöpf
Attack: Mark Uth, Guido Burgstaller, Steven Skrzybski, Breel Embolo
