ASEC Mimosas’ Amed Toure could return to Ghana but this time Obuasi appears the most likeliest destination, sources closer to the player have told Footballmadeinghana.com.
He scored 13 goals in 22 league matches for Bechem United in the season of 2017 before joining the Ivorian giants.
The ASEC Mimosas lethal forward has held talks with Ashantigold owner Dr Kwaku Frimpong for a possible transfer.
Toure would not come cheap after he scored 17 goals to win the Golden shoe award of the Ivory Coast Ligue 1 last season and helped his side to the clinch the league title. The attacker also has one goal in the current campaign.
The Burkinabe international has however not started any of ASEC’s last two games and reports are that he could force his way out of the club.
The former Asante Kotoko and Bechem United striker is willing to return to the country even though uncertainty still surrounds the competitive football in the West African country.
According to our source, the player could go the extra mile of handing in a transfer request in order to join the Miners.
It is no secret that Dr.Kwaku Fimpong has been a strong admirer of Toure since his days at Kotoko and a move for the deadly goalscorer wouldn’t be surprising.
