Technical director of the Ghana Football Association, Francis Oti Akenteng has praised Aduana Stars following their 2-1 CAF Confederations Cup win over AS Vita on Wednesday.
Akenteng who is also part of the two-man liaison team helping to restructure Ghana football believes Aduana Stars did well despite playing no active football locally.
“I think it was not bad considering where the team is coming from, we are not playing league in Ghana so for the team to put up such performance, they need to be commended,” Akenteng told Happy FM
“In all, it was a great game, Aduana got two early goals which helped them. The problem was the stamina, because we are not playing any active football the stamina was down. Maybe they have to train more hopefully twice a day depending on their schedule”
The veteran coach also praised Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed for his work rate throughout the game.
“I was very impressed with Yahaya Mohammed, he exhibited energy for 90 minutes, he was fantastic on the day. He should keep it up especially in the return leg,”
