General Manager-Sustainability at GNPC, Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh, has revealed why his outfit decided to stop sponsoring the Black Stars.
According to Baah-Nuakoh, sponsoring the Black Stars was not bad but the general public does not get anything from the money aside the usual ecstatic moods associated with the team playing in tournaments
The brainy football administrator pointed out that GNPC have now tilted their sponsorships towards things with long term benefits to the general pubic.
“We are now doing projects with long term returns. We are using the money to build football pitches to develop more players, this is something monumental for future generations to benefit.” Baah-Nuako told Happy FM
“We needed TO rethink, we want the future generations to know what we used the oil money for. We will construct artificial pitches all over Ghana.”
GNPC have already built artificial pitch at Bekwai, and they will complete some at Effiakuma, Koforidua, Tarkwa, Asokwa, and Duayaw Nkwanta before the year ends.
