Ghanaian youngster Paul Ayongo is eager to make his mark at the Portuguese topflight after signing for Pacos de Ferreira.
The goal machine joined the Primeira Liga side in a four-year deal on Sunday after three successful seasons at Amarante where he netted over fifty goals.
Ayongo says he is excited with the move as it is a big step in his young football career.
“I feel good for this move because Paços is a great club and I think they can help me move forward. They are among the best clubs in Portugal,” Ayongo told footballmadeinghana.com
“I learnt a lot at Amarante during my three years there and it has helped me a lot and I know it will help me in future too. My time in Amarante has been good”
The 20-year-old attacker further emphasized that his dream is to make his mark at Pacos just as he did at Amarante.
“My expectations in my first season at Paços is to break into the starting line up and make it big also throughout my stay just like my time at Amarante. I know it is going to be difficult but with hard work and determination, nothing is impossible”
Ayongo has netted 25 goals this season in Portugal and he is the hottest under 20 striker in Southern Europe currently.
