Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Eli Keke was the toast of the fans over the weekend in the Spanish City of Murcia where his Icelandic club Vikingur Olavsfik are having their pre-season.
The former Dreams FC defender put up another splendid performance for Olavsik on Saturday for Vikingur at the San Pedro de Pinatar Stadium though they suffered their first off season defeat as they were hammered 3-1 by fellow Icelandic side Starjnan FC.
Eli was fantastic at the back with great defensive display and his ability to pick the the ball from his own half and join the attack also drew applause from the spectators.
Gudmundur Hafsteinsson netted a brace for Starjnana before Bryan Gudjonsson got the third for his side. Kwame Quee got the consolation for Vikingur.
Eli returned with his club to Iceland on Sunday night.
