One of the most experienced yet neglected goalies at Asante Kotoko, Ernest Sowah has returned to training with the club’s youth team months after he was accused of bribery by Kotoko Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei.
The former national goalie, disclosed the largely unsubstantiated bribery allegations against him on a Kumasi-based radio station after he was left out of Kotoko’s squad for their crashed CAF Confederation campaign.
A move to have his contract terminated ended on rocks. Sowah has been home as he’s not part of Kotoko’s registered players for the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League. FootballMadeInGhana.com on Monday sighted Sowah training for the first time with the youth team of Kotoko.
Whether or not Sowah will continue to train with the youth team or he will be recalled by new coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin to the senior team remains unknown. His future at Kotoko however hangs in a balance with Kotoko deciding to rely on goalies Felix Annan, Ibrahim Danlad, Micheal Abu and Kwame Baah for the new season.
