Head Coach of Nzema Kotoko, Kobina Amissah says the delay of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League and the start of the football season for that matter, is affecting nearly every club in the country.
Speaking in an interview on Takoradi-based Spice FM, the former Elmina Sharks trainer, said the delay has its positive sides but then it’s having negative impact on clubs and their preparations.
“Every club has to be worried about the delay of the league but they are dealing with law here so we have to give them time. Some teams will be happy about the delay and others too aren’t okay about it, some teams aren’t well prepared so they are using the opportunity to prepare well” said the coach.
“Our teams competing in Africa are also struggling because we are not playing league games in the country, so the delay of the league has affected about 90 percent of the clubs in the country” he added.
