English Premiership side Newcastle United are the latest club to join the race to sign Red Star Belgrade attacker Richmond Boakye.
The Ghanaian finisher has been in fine form for the Belgrade giants netting a whooping 45 goals in the 2017 calendar year.
Boakye has attracted the attention of Chelsea, West Ham, Celtic, Anderlect and several clubs but the latest to join the long queue for his signature is Newcastle United.
According to ESPN, the Upon Tyne club are in the market looking for a typical number nine to lead their attack following the club’s profligacy in front of goal which has seen them just netting sixteen this this season.
The Magpies boss, Rafa Benitez is said to have set his sights on Boakye and is ready to pay his 10 Million Pounds buy-out clause in January.
The former Sassuolo and Juventus striker could opt for Newcastle as they already have Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu in their fold.
