Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong admits they had a very difficult season despite winning the FA Cup.
Frimpong stated that they didnt start the season well as they faced challenges though they recovered from those setbacks to end the season on the high.
“The 2016\17 season was a hard season for us until we won the FA Cup. I can say it was not easy though we ended well by lifting the FA Cup,” Frimpong told footballmadeinghana.com
“Our performance from the start was not encouraging as a lot was been expected from us due to the quality of players at our disposal and also the experienced technical team members we had.”
“Dr Kwame Kyei has really done well, he brought a lot of hope into the team after the team spirit had gone, we want to congratulate him.”
Asante Kotoko placed fifth in the league but won the FA Cup which has secured them the ticket to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup.
