The Sweden-based guardsman believes there are a lot of quality players who are making it big in Scandinavia as well as the Europa League who needs to called into the Black Stars.

Mensah has been instrumental for Ostersunds in both the domestic Allsvenskan league and the Europa League where his club have reached the Group stage after defeating the likes of Galatasary and Greek side PAOK.

“I think coach Kwesi Appiah and his assistants should try and look at the games in Scandinavia and those of us playing in the Europa league because there are some great untapped players here,” Mensah

“It has been a great season for me and I am happy I am in top form, I have played a lot of games and I am joining it. We will continue to work hard here,”

“I have been used by my coach in virtually all the positions at the back this season and I have excelled. He likes my vesatility as it has helped the team so much,” Mensah added.

The former Right to Dream Academy graduate was courted this summer by Danish Superliga side FK Nordsjaelland but chose to extend his contract with Ostersunds up to the summer of 2010.
