In God We Trust FC skipper Yaw Kwarteng has expressed delight over his side’s impressive end to the first round of the Greater Accra Division II League.
The lanky midfielder scored the winning goal of the game five minutes from full time and remains confident the second round of the competition would be more successful.
“We can win the league at the end of the season, I know it is not easy but we can make it through hard work and determination we are going to make it.
“After the break we will come back and do our corrections and I believe the second round we will play our heart out more than we need in the first round and I believe we would get to the top.
He admits FC Barbarossa was a tough nut to crack and gives credit the excellent technical brains the team possesses.
“It wasn’t easy for us but we played our heart out and we won the match. All thanks go to the technical team who showed us the game plan. Credit also go to my colleagues who were on the pitch with me.
The Greater Accra regional football body has set September 29th for the resumption of the youth competition.
