Black Stars B assistant coach, Maxwell Konadu insists his charges did their best although it was not enough in their 2-1 defeat to Burkina Faso on Sunday.
Konadu is convinced that his team went all out though the outcome of the game was not enough as they failed to secure a place in next year’s CHAN tournament in Kenya.
“The boys did their best as we were trying to guide them to win but unfortunately for us that couldn’t happen,” Konadu stated after the game.
“We are sorry for disappointing the very fans that have been behind the team all this while,”
The boys are all down and the mood in camp is not the best but that is football. We played 2-2 away but our opponent approved stronger in the return leg. This is one day that we have to forget it because it wasn’t good for us at all,”
Ghana will now have to concentrate on the impending WAFU tournament next month.
